Antisemitic Bay Area Billboards Face Backlash for link to Terrorism Supporter

Community members have become alarmed at egregiously antisemitic billboards popping up in the Bay Area. These billboards are funded by the Northern California Islamic Council (NCIC), chaired by Dr. Hatem Bazian, a UC Berkeley professor with affiliations with terrorist groups.

Dr. Bazian, known for his radical viewpoints, has been linked to the Muslim Brotherhood in a recent report by The Institute for the Study of Global Antisemitism and Policy. This connection has raised alarms about potential antisemitic and anti-American sentiments being propagated through these billboards. The content of these displays has been criticized for promoting messages that could undermine national security and societal cohesion, with slogans suggesting that America’s salvation lies in defunding Israel and loosening security to allow terrorist infiltrations.

One particularly alarming message featured a picture of Aaron Bushnell, a servicemember who lit himself on fire in an anti-Israel protest. The message appeared to glorify the death of Mr. Bushnell and could inspire others to take similar drastic action.
